The Ritz Carlton Marina del Rey is one of my favorite places for gathering with friends. The lobby is bright, sunny and well appointed. Sometimes you can even find me there writing. Its a perfect place to relax and feel inspired. I love the decor and the different seating areas they’ve created.
Each slightly different making it feel like several rooms within one larger room. The gray seating area near the windows is one of my particular favorites. Its a perfect spot for tea while looking out over the marina.
Outdoor on the patio are comfy sofas and fire pits, perfect for Sunday brunch or a Sunset cocktail. I love being able to watch the boats come and go, especially on Sundays when the sailing races take place.
Their restaurant Cast & Plow opened when they underwent their renovation a few years ago. Its elegantly appointed and features a seasonal menu and farm-to-table cuisine. Its a favorite among locals in Marina del Rey and a perfect spot to meet up for a double date or grab a cocktail at the bar!
If staying at the hotel – make sure to book a private cabana by the pool and an appointment in the spa! Love their mani pedi station. Its a perfect retreat for you and a couple of girlfriends.

And the rooms are gorgeous!! Talk about sweeping views of the marina. They even have suites. The Junior Suite is 500 square feet and offers plenty of room to stretch out. But why stop there? Put yourself in the lap of luxury and book their top suite featuring 1,500 square feet of space with living and dining rooms and one and a half baths, sleeping room for 4, a dining table with seating for 8 and a Master bedroom with large walk-in closet.
