Why take 10-year-old son to see Matilda the Musical by in Thousand Oaks?
I have 3 good reasons:
- It was a smash hit on Broadway. No Spider-Man flops here.
- It features a strong young female lead, which is a good thing to show my son in a world of boy-dominated entertainment.
- It’s a musical and not Fortnite.
The story revolves around Matilda, an extraordinary girl who, armed with a sharp mind and a vivid imagination, dares to take a stand and change her destiny.
I love the theme and am already a fan of the shows of 5 Star Theatricals, so attending is basically a no-brainer. Add to the mix the guidance of director Lewis Wilkenfeld and musical director Jennifer Lin, plus what are sure to be dazzling dance numbers by one of my favorite local choreographers, Heather Castillo, and it’s a solid bet.
I’m taking my son on a date night to Roald Dahl’s MATILDA THE MUSICAL at the Thousand Oaks and I’m suuuupppeerrr excited.
Join us, won’t you?
